Cybersecurity Graduation Dreams

After graduating from college 2 years ago at York College of Pennsylvania with my Bachelors of Science in Cybersecurity, I attempted to startup my own cybersecurity consulting with no concrete plan or funding. Needless to say, my adventures swiftly ended as I was just figuring out that everything in the world costs money.

Digital Media Arts Fellowship

Shortly after my cybersecurity pivot, I was admitted as a digital media art fellow at Marketview Arts, a gallery space connected to York College—one of only two fellows selected for 2024-2025. During my fellowship, I explored AI's potential in video game design and its integration within York's arts community.

I secured my first $5,000 grant to fund this research, but quickly realized I had no idea how to manage it. I was scribbling expenses on my whiteboard, tracking transactions manually, leading to many sleepless nights trying to keep everything straight.

Throughout the year, I taught game development as an adjunct at York College and led workshops with local organizations to inspire younger creators in game design and artwork. I specialized in pixel art and animation, bringing my technical background into the creative space!
